Kouyate
Has there been many worse individual performances in a comfortable win?

He was so fucking poor it's breathtaking, if Noble had played that badly, there would be 5 threads started about it. His passing was abysmal, his movement pathetic, his tracking back laughable, and I'm yet to find a word for the 2 shots he had yet.

Did one decent thing all night, blocking a ball and passing it to a teammate (for a change) and the fact that it ended up leading to a goal keeps the MYTH rolling on.

Re: Kouyate
totally disagree, he was much better than Nolan Mk2

Re: Kouyate
I honestly don't know what you've seen there Miike, he was truly, truly appalling, I suppose it's hard to fully appreciate how bad his movement is on TV, but FUCKING HELL he was poor on so many levels.

Re: Kouyate
to be fair, this is not a balanced thread as you clearly detest the player. he could score a hattrick for the next ten games and you'd still dig him out. give cheikou a break FFS

Re: Kouyate
It's a good job Obiang was back to form, because he had to do the job of 2 men tonight.

Miike, I'm honest enough to give a fair assessment when someone plays well and hold my hands up, but I watched him with interest, he was a fucking joke tonight.

Re: Kouyate
He weren't that good, weren't that bad, bit like the win really.

Not everything has to be the very best of or the very worst of all the time.

Relax

Re: Kouyate
Thought Kouyate was good defending but shit going forward , as for Obiang i thought he was our worse player tonight, wasn't shit but there were lot better performances than him today and he's certainly nowhere near back to his best.

Re: Kouyate
Not great, wasteful with the ball.and why he didn't take a touch when that ball fell to him in the area, who knows.

But come on is this really worthy of a thread, we all know what you think of him, I'm not his biggest fan either, but he wasn't that bad.

Re: Kouyate
Midfield did a decent job tonight. Won the ball back a lot. Distribution was poor but that was because we played hoofball which were the tactics chosen. Kouyates height is an asset in the midfield. Not a sparkling performance but ok.

Re: Kouyate
I like him in the team because he gives us much needed physicality in the middle, yes he sometimes gives the ball away but no more than Nolan Mk2. he also doesn't stop working and running, and never hides :.)

Re: Kouyate
Good player but clearly not match fit yet and it showed.

Do we need a thread on every player who has a bad game though?

Re: Kouyate
He lacks quality, for sure, even if he's got a decent engine.

At least he's better than Noble. Noble is fucking crap.

Re: Kouyate
Sometimes, as a manager. You put names on the sheet. The effect that has on the opposition can put the fear their minds. His name was not the only one that was on the sheet tonight.

Re: Kouyate
Him and Obiang got in the faces of opposition, won the ball repeatedly, made clearances, they clearly did what was asked of them.

Kouyate's distribution has always been poor. But at present these two are the best we have as defensive midfielders by a long way. There is some bloke from Lisbon who apparently is similar defensively but can also retain the ball and pass. Maybe we should make a cheeky bid for him in January.

Was Noble injured?

Re: Kouyate
Kouyate is strong and athletic but on the ball he is sometimes maladroit enough to put me in mind of Clyde Best.

The likes of Farc and Ted will know what I mean.

Re: Kouyate
Yes he was poor ,his lack of basic technique was evident with his mis-hit shot.fucking shocking attempt.

Good at defending?

I'm assuming every one of you is a streamer? He was fucking atrocious last night, and some idiot thinks Obiang was shit? Hahaha

Re: Kouyate
he was poor but he wasn't as bad as the original post makes out.

He cant pass or kick the football though which is a problem, he reminds me a bit of Carlton at times.
